Need a candle? Grab a crayon.
Who doesn’t like to burn stuff. OK, sorry, I’m really not the kind of person to just set fire to things. but I was excited to test a tip that said you could use a crayon as a candle. Turns out — yes, you can! Although i’ll admit, this tip was more fun to test than it was actually using the candle. This tip really does work, but there are some trade-offs for having such a good candle. One, they only last about 10 minutes. Two, they put off a considerable amount of soot and they smell. They could easily set off a smoke alarm if you use more than two in a room.
The best way, I found, to light one was to cut the tip off and use a lighter to melt away some of the crayon so that the paper is just slightly above the level of the crayon inside. Then light the paper and it will burn nice and bright.
